The portion of Chelsea Waterside Park located to the east of Route 9A was largely built by the NYS Department of Transportation, but is officially part of Hudson River Park. It includes a large ballfield, and adventure dog run, walking paths and planted borders, and an exciting new children’s playground built with monies from Assembly Member Richard N. Gottfried, Friends of Hudson River Park and the Hudson River Park Trust. The playground includes a number of popular water play features.
