Focus: River Ecology & Water Quality
During the school year, the Hudson River Park Trust offers Fishing and Biology class field trips. Designed primarily to serve intermediate and high schools, the classes typically begin with a brief introduction to river ecology and water quality.
Student Objectives
- Examine live animals
- Explore specialized fish adaptations through simple experiments
- Participate in catch & release fishing
- Learn fishing safety and sportsmanship ethics
