Among New York City’s quintessential free outdoor summer concert series, Hudson River Park’s RiverRocks marks its 14th season this July and August with a new location on Pier 84, and performances by an array of established and breaking artists.
Oberhofer, the Brooklyn-based band of Brad Oberhofer, creates psychedelic catchy pop rock tunes. The acclaimed debut album Time Capsules II possesses the “ecstatic rush of young love and the emotional fragility attached to it.”
Hailing from San Diego, The Soft Pack plays a smart but simple rock that harkens back to ‘60s garage, ‘70s punk, and ‘80s college rock.
The kinetic rock and roll of Knoxville's Royal Bangs is a shapeshifting spastic rush of math rock with the heft of 1970s arena-fillers, and a bit of Tennessee-born Southern boogie (Pitchfork).
