The Environment and Education Department at the Hudson River Park Trust is in need of volunteer docents to give field trips to K-12 and college students, help chaperone school classes, lead tours at special events, assist with staff lectures, aid in with summer camps, and to lead our Walking and Garden Tours at Greenwich Village. Individuals with knowledge of our curriculum, summer camp programs, and tours would be especially welcome but the Trust is very committed to training and will work with energetic, well-rounded volunteers. Our Big City Fishing program is free on weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day and volunteers enjoy the daily interaction with visitors and the chance to teach on marine life. Come join our efforts if you’re simply interested in being outside, working with kids, retired from teaching, or interested in the environment or recreation. We would love to have your help.
