
Special Event means a group activity including,
but not limited to, a performance, meeting, assembly, contest,
exhibit, ceremony, parade, athletic competition, reading, or picnic
involving more than 20 people or a group activity involving less
than 20 people for which specific space within the Park is requested
to be reserved. Special Event does not include casual Park use
by visitors or tourists.
The Trust may also establish special event fees for use and occupancy
of Park areas or facilities. The Trust will establish a special
event fee schedule, which will be reviewed and updated, as appropriate,
on an annual basis.
All groups wishing to hold a special event in Hudson River Park
must obtain a written permit from Hudson River Park Trust.

Applications may be submitted up to eleven (11) months in advance
of event date. Submitting an application does not guarantee you
will be granted a permit.
A non-refundable $25 application fee must be submitted with each
application. Make checks payable to: HUDSON RIVER PARK TRUST;
they can be dropped off or mailed to: Hudson River Park Trust,
attn: Director of Permits, Pier 40 at W. Houston St., 2nd Floor,
NY, NY 10014. No cash or credit cards accepted.
Location fees may be assessed based on the nature of the event.
The Permittee, at its expense and for the term of the permit,
shall furnish and show evidence of Commercial General Liability
Insurance coverage of a minimum of $1million single limit per
occurrence (amount depends on time/extent of permit and production).
