Hudson River Park Trust CEO Reflects on 2012 and Prepares for the Year Ahead

January 7

Last week, The Villager posted an article highlighting some of Hudson River Park’s achievements and challenges from 2012 and looking ahead at what’s in store for 2013, written by Trust CEO Madelyn Wils. We have had a very eventful year with accomplishments ranging from broad support for advancing a Neighborhood Improvement District, to witnessing record attendance throughout our 5-mile expanse, and of course, Hurricane Sandy.

However, these accomplishments have not been achieved without hard work from our park community in 2012. Specifically, in 2012, we took a collective leap forward in reaching consensus on ways to get the park on sounder financial footing. We all share the goal to keep it as beautiful as it is now in the future.

Working with our elected officials, community leaders and park advocates, we have already jumped full force into continuing this effort in 2013.  To read more about how we are thinking about Pier 40 and other important issues, check out the article!
