Tango, Salsa and Swing Under the Stars on Sundays at MoonDance

July 13

Sunday night MoonDances draw a crowd of expert and amateur dancers looking to tango, salsa and swing as the sun sets over Hudson River Park. The event, featured in the top 25 of Time Out New York’s “101 Things to Do in the summer in NYC,” showcases three dance styles set to the soundtrack of the city’s best bands. Dance Manhattan offers free lessons for beginners – or those just looking to freshen up their moves – at the beginning of the evening; bands go on after, allowing the crowd to boogie into the night.

This Sunday, July 15th, the George Gee Swing Orchestra kicks off the series with their classic big-band sound. MoonDance will welcome Los Hermanos Colon, Nu D’Lux, Hector Del Curto’s Eternal Tango and the David Berger Jazz Orchestra on future Sundays in July and August.
