The 18th Annual Blues BBQ will Bring the Heat to Pier 97!

Blues BBQ is back on August 19, and we can’t wait to dig into the amazing eats and groove to the bluesy beat! This year’s festival promises to be an epic event, with a lineup of Blues and Roots stars ready to get Pier 97 moving. And for the first time this year, our roster of NYC’s best BBQ includes an awesome vegan option so everyone can get in on the deliciousness.

So, who’s bringing the blues?

The Campbell Brothers will take their blend of African-American gospel music and rock to our stage, with electric steel guitar and vocals. Bringing unique Chicago Blues in the style of Muddy Waters, Sugar Ray and the Bluetones will wow our crowd with soul and charisma. Eric Gales, an American blues-rock guitarist, started off his career as a child prodigy, and he hasn’t slowed down since. A prolific career of collaborations and dynamic performances make him an exciting addition to our lineup.

Performing powerhouse blues and soul, Terrie Odabi has been called “the most dynamic blues and soul woman to have emerged in the Bay Area since Etta James,” and we can’t wait to hear her sound! And rounding out our star-studded line-up, Dumpstaphunk is sure to get our crowd dancing to their bold New Orleans funk.

Who’s cooking up the BBQ?

Pier 97 will once again welcome a who’s-who of NYC BBQ. Longtime favorites Dinosaur BBQ and Mighty Quinn’s will return to bring dynamic flavors to our BBQ-loving crowd. New to the festival this year, Pig Beach will cook up tried and true BBQ with worldly influences.

To truly expand our offerings this year, Monk’s Meats will be serving up delicious vegan comfort food, ensuring that our vegetarian and vegan Park fans can enjoy the blues AND the BBQ! And after all that BBQ heat, be sure to grab a cool, delicious ice cream sandwich from Melt.

With such an all-star lineup of performers and restaurants, this year’s Blues BBQ promises to be one of our best yet – we’ll see you at Pier 97 at 2 PM!
