The State law that created the park, the Hudson River Park Act, also created the Hudson River Park Advisory Council.
There are currently three vacancies on the Advisory Council.
Requirements
Members must reside in New York State and represent local community, park, environmental, civic, labor and business organizations, as well as elected officials representing communities neighboring the park.
Meetings
The Advisory Council generally meets approximately six times each year, in addition to committee meetings. The Advisory Council Chair generally provides a report at every Hudson River Park Trust Board meeting.
