Volunteer in Your Park

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Hudson River Park!

Volunteer efforts go a long way in the maintenance and enrichment of Hudson River Park’s picturesque landscape. By helping out with tasks such as weeding, mulching, planting, and the dedicated care of the many plant beds throughout the Park, volunteers have a significant impact on one of New York City’s premier public spaces, visited by 17 million patrons annually.

We are offering many different volunteer opportunities this year to actively engage the community in the enhancement of park landscapes – we hope you will join us!

If you are interested in being added to our volunteer database, please fill out this form. We'll be contacting you for a wide variety of volunteer efforts in the Park over the next year.

If you would really like to indulge your green thumb and can commit to volunteering in the Park once a week, please consider becoming a Neighborhood Gardener. This esteemed role will have you working side-by-side with other volunteers and horticulture staff in one of the Park’s many neighborhood sections. This position gives you a chance to be outside and enjoy our wonderful green spaces while maintaining and improving the landscape for the benefit of our community.
