Starting Friday May 24, 2013, Hudson River Park returned to normal park operating hours from 6am to 1am other than the exceptions noted to the right and below.
All Comfort Stations are now open.
Pier 62 Carousel is now open.
For many months, we have been hard at work restoring areas of the park that were damaged by Hurricane Sandy. A top priority has been repairing and replacing electrical equipment needed to light the Park’s esplanade and piers. Now that this has been achieved, we are able to reopen many of park amenities to normal hours; see below for more details. Park users may still experience brown outs in certain sections and may also notice lights staying on during the daytime. These conditions will persist temporarily while the Trust monitors equipment and makes permanent repairs to lighting and other utilities to minimize the risk of damage by future storms. One way to do this is by raising critical infrastructure out of the future flood zone whenever feasible.
Please note that exterior lighting on a number of park buildings as well as specialized lighting for the Park’s tennis courts and basketball courts in Tribeca is not yet operational.
In addition to esplanade and pier lighting, concessions and tenants listed to the right are open, although some might be operating on a limited schedule. Check before visiting.
